Distinguish a real location from a catchment area
List where consultations or treatments actually take place and which areas patients travel from. A place mentioned in keyword research is not evidence of a clinic location. Make that distinction explicit in the content brief.
A genuine location page can explain the team, services, opening hours, access and booking route for that location. An area served from another clinic may be better explained within existing travel information.
Require useful differences
Before creating another page, identify what a visitor would learn that is not already available. Directions, transport, accessibility arrangements, service availability and location-specific contact details can be useful when verified.
Changing only a town name across near-identical pages creates little value. Consolidate the practical information when the service and visit are the same. Do not imply a physical presence that the clinic does not have.
Keep local information consistent
Compare the website with the Business Profile and verified clinic records. Update changed opening hours and contact routes at the source. Show the location a person will actually attend and explain any appointment-only arrangements.
Use an appropriate page title and heading that describe the location naturally. There is no need to repeat “near me” in every section. The page should answer the person’s practical questions in ordinary language.
Measure by the intended area and service
Review available location queries and landing pages, alongside actual enquiry quality. A broad nationwide traffic increase may not help a single-location clinic. Record changes and allow time for recrawling.
Local results also depend on distance and other signals outside the page. No location page guarantees a map-pack position. Use the linked Business Profile checklist for profile maintenance and the main SEO guide for wider planning.
